The famous South African DJ THEMBA changes David Guetta and Sia’s song “Beautiful People.”

David Guetta and Sia’s empowering song “Beautiful People” is still going strong, and now South African dance pioneer THEMBA is turning up the energy even more. THEMBA’s Afro tech remake turns the happy original into a hypnotic, transcendent work of art.

THEMBA changes the song by adding tribal shakers, sweeping synths that swirl around your ears, and rich piano flourishes that give Sia’s high-pitched singing warmth and soul. It’s strong, emotional, and made to be danced to.

The original version has been streamed over 88 million times around the world, and the music video has been watched over 16 million times. This version is yet another great moment in THEMBA’s long and successful career. Because they worked with David’s alias Jack Back in 2024, THEMBA keeps mixing Afro-rooted beats with cutting-edge club sounds. With hits like “Lucid Dreams” and his remix of Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Murder on the Dancefloor,” he’s been lighting up events from Red Rocks to Pacha Ibiza. The Thame version gives the song a new beat, just in time for summer!
