The alter ego of Don Diablo called CONTROL ALT DLΚT is back with an explosive grime-influenced track featuring UK grime star Scruffizzer. The groundbreaking song “Head Banger” came out on the innovative UK label and platform UKF. It was Don’s first release on the label.
Don’s drum and bass alter ego is CONTROL ALT DΞLΞTΞ. This name has put out six other songs since last year, one of which was the hit “Maniac,” which was a drum and bass version of Michael Sembello’s 1983 hit “Maniac.”
Scruffizer’s powerful vocals give “Head Banger” a sound that goes through the sky like a supernova. The song starts with distorted voice loops and then goes into glitchy, post-apocalyptic synths that sound like they belong in a dystopia run by AI. Then there’s the drop, a huge, bass-heavy blast that’s meant to break speakers and destroy dance floors.
Don Diablo leaves the familiar behind for CONTROL ALT DLΚT and jumps right into the unfiltered chaos of the UK underground! Don Diablo was thrilled to say, “Showing my first official release on UKF with my brother Scruffizzer. Working on our second record together is a full circle moment!” I’ve always loved the band and the way they bring people together. It’s stronger, faster, and deeper this time. This is just the beginning for Don Diablo as president of CONTROL ALT DLT. I’m so excited I can’t stand it.
