With hypnotic synth work, underground pop textures, and emotional tension at its core, Witch Cabin’s latest release taps directly into the psychology of modern disconnection.
Los Angeles-based artist and producer Witch Cabin is carving out her own lane between underground electronic music, left-field pop, and emotionally driven dance production with her latest single, “We Want Connection.”
At a time when electronic music often prioritizes stimulation over substance, Witch Cabin takes a different approach. The track does not simply aim for movement. It aims for recognition. Emotional recognition.
Built around immersive synth textures, atmospheric tension, and subtle hip-hop-inspired rhythm structures, “We Want Connection” feels like the soundtrack to a generation emotionally overwhelmed by digital life yet starving for something real beneath it.
The result is haunting in the best way.
What makes the release especially notable is the fact that this is only Witch Cabin’s second official single release, yet the momentum is already accelerating quickly. The track has already landed on over 200 Spotify playlists, signaling early organic traction around the project as anticipation builds for her upcoming album rollout later this year.
Born Tracy Marcellino Aubert, Witch Cabin brings a multidimensional creative background into her music. Originally from Brooklyn and raised in San Francisco, the artist now operates out of Los Angeles, balancing her music career alongside work in experiential food design for brands. That crossover between sensory design and music production becomes evident throughout her sound palette, which feels immersive rather than simply performative.
There is intention behind the atmosphere.
Currently enrolled in both producer and DJ programs through the Pete Tong DJ Academy, Witch Cabin is clearly positioning herself for long-term evolution within electronic music culture. Her future ambitions include international touring, collaborative production work, festival appearances at events like Iceland Airwaves and Sonar, and expanding into fashion and creative brand partnerships.
But for now, “We Want Connection” serves as the clearest introduction yet to the emotional world she is building.
The release avoids the polished emotional detachment that often dominates electronic music aesthetics. Instead, Witch Cabin leans directly into vulnerability, tension, longing, and emotional contradiction. The single feels equally suited for solitary late-night listening and underground dance spaces where emotion and rhythm blur together.
And with remixes already planned alongside another upcoming single release in Q2, the Witch Cabin universe appears to be expanding rapidly.
